How HCP Works

Funding and Partnerships

As a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization, the HCP is committed to improving the lives of cacao farmers and their families through educational programs and by providing tangible resources for farmers.  We are able to perform this work thanks to our grant programs funded by the Leslie Family Foundation, USAID, USDA, and the highly-valued time volunteered by our supporting partners.

Our Methodology

Here is how the process works:

​After the HCP designation process is complete, all the information is provided to the growers who, with the support of the HCP, use the designation to achieve higher market prices than they would growing bulk or ordinary cacao.
