She works tirelessly to support the discovery, identification, propagation, and sustainable cultivation of the most exquisite cacao varieties, ensuring their rich flavors and unique genetic traits endure for future generations.
Before joining the HCP in 2018, Anne spent nearly a decade at the U.S. Grains Council in Washington, D.C., overseeing international development programs across the African continent. She holds a degree in International Studies focusing on International Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Through her leadership at the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund, Anne continues to make a meaningful impact on the chocolate industry and the lives of farmers who cultivate this precious crop. |
[email protected]Alyssa is an award-winning documentarian and videographer committed to using visual storytelling to elevate voices, create positive change, and inspire action. She's also a passionate advocate for consumer education, human rights, and environmental conservation.
As the Communications Director for the HCP since 2021, Alyssa applies her decade of experience to spearhead initiatives that educate consumers about the complexities of the chocolate supply chain. Skillfully combining video production, editing, illustration, and animation, Alyssa crafts compelling narratives. She achieves this by working in close communication with farmers and local implementing partners, and by building strong relationships with chocolate industry professionals, ultimately empowering cacao producers, chocolatiers, and consumers. |
