Endowment Fund

Donations to the HCP Endowment create a legacy of preservation. This permanent fund ensures that HCP will always have the resources to protect endangered cacao varieties, empower farmers, and secure the rich diversity of flavors that make chocolate extraordinary.

​The HCP is a 501c3 non-profit organization. You will receive a tax receipt for your donation.

The Lesley Family Foundation has been a major pillar of the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Fund since 2019 through a series of grants that supports our field research, expeditions, technical resource development for farmers and administrative costs.

Since 2013, Tony Caputo’s Market & Deli has been generously donating the proceeds from their annual Chocolate Festival.
Grocer's Daughter Chocolate has been a dedicated yearly supporter of the HCP since 2020.
Maya Schoop-Rutten is a long standing and beloved supporter of HCP. She has been sending a yearly donation since 2014.

Founding Circle

And a thank you to the members of our Founding Circle. Twenty-five chocolate companies and industry stakeholders - of which the vast majority were artisan and small independents - stepped up to provide funding for the official launch the HCP in June 2012.
